Description: How to aim for both Good endings, Neutral and Bad in HIWHI 2.0. Official August 2026 score changes, the apple and phone choices, forbidden names, and what remains untested.

There are four current Day 2 outcomes: two Good variations, one Neutral and one Bad. Choices build Affinity or Fear; the Good routes split when you decide how close Mould may remain. The developer’s August 3 guide uses nine points as its reference for either stat. This walkthrough contains ending spoilers and separates confirmed point changes from suggested routes.

Spoilers ahead: the four route targets and score effects are revealed. Suggested sequences have not been verified by playing the game.

Four-ending route chart — HIWHI 2.0

Ending Target condition Suggested order Outcome / confidence URL Version ⚠
Good 1 Build Affinity toward nine Eat the opening fruit (+5) → offer a warm morning greeting (+2) → avoid making a phone call (+2) → allow Mould close Close-contact Good route; the three-choice combination is a calculated suggestion Official HIWHI 2.0 · 2026-08-03 ⚠
Good 2 Keep building Affinity Choose welcoming responses → keep some distance from Mould at the late split Distance Good route; developer confirms the final distinction Official HIWHI 2.0 · 2026-08-03 ⚠
Neutral Keep both Affinity and Fear below nine as a guide Mix restrained, welcoming and wary responses → avoid stacking either stat Neutral route; a community-tested example follows Official HIWHI 2.0 · 2026-08-03 ⚠
Bad Build Fear toward nine Discard the fruit (+2 Fear) → choose flight, rejection and calling for help where offered Fear-focused route; the exact code comparison is not published Official HIWHI 2.0 · 2026-08-03 ⚠

The decisions that actually move the counters

These are paraphrased descriptions of the English choices in the August developer guide. Two homeward choices appear in different branches; their scores should not be conflated.

Scene Decision Effect
Opening fruit Eat it Affinity +5
Opening fruit Throw it away Fear +2
Bathroom Inspect the mirror No change
Bathroom Leave without looking back Affinity +1
Apparition Scream Fear +1
Apparition Run Fear +2
Breakfast Give a warm morning greeting Affinity +2
Breakfast Try to please Mould Affinity +1
Breakfast Ignore him completely Fear +2
Keys Take them gently Affinity +1
Clothing Accept the cardigan Affinity +1
Market / phone Do not make the call Affinity +2
Market / phone Call someone Fear +2
After declining to call Choose one of the return-home options Affinity +2
After declining to call Choose one of the escape options Fear +2

A practical Neutral route, with the right caveat

One player reports reaching Neutral by leaving the fruit untouched, checking the mirror, leaving the bathroom without turning around, screaming, greeting Mould, questioning him, looking at his hands, inspecting the surroundings, taking the keys carefully, accepting the cardigan, calling someone, leaving the market, returning home and bathing. Treat that as a player-submitted sequence, not a developer-certified solution. Save around the fruit, breakfast and phone decisions if you want to compare runs.

Why some guides say eight or seven points

The June 5 developer post used eight Affinity and seven Fear as its guideposts. The August 3 update describes nine for each and explicitly says variables were increased to make Neutral easier to reach. For the current Day 2 release, the newer guide is the stronger reference. Its wording does not disclose the underlying exact inequality, so nine is a practical target rather than a proven code-level cutoff.

Forbidden names, gallery and future days

Entering Mould or Asher as the protagonist’s name triggers the developer’s forbidden-name handling. This is a name-entry curiosity, not a documented fifth ending. Day 2 also added a CG gallery; the complete per-image unlock list has not been established. The current download is marked HIWHI 2.0, while Days 3–5 and additional character routes remain future plans.

Playing in a browser

The creator fixed a language-selection issue in June and restored browser play on July 12. Use the original itch.io page for the supported build. The embedded game’s interactive choices and all four endings were not replayed in this research pass.

Primary sources and verification limits

Conclusion

Bottom line: High Affinity opens the two Good variations, with proximity to Mould deciding which; a balanced score aims for Neutral, and accumulated Fear points toward Bad. Watch the fruit, morning greeting and phone before trusting an older 8/7-point guide.
