Description: Official route conditions for Julian’s star scene, Narrator affection 12, the painting choice and all three capybaras, with the five-versus-seven endings discrepancy explained.

Unlock the Narrator by completing Julian’s Good Ending, then starting with New Game. Loading an old save does not unlock his route. Julian needs affection above 7 and the Day 2 star scene; the Narrator’s good outcomes require affection of at least 12.

Route table

Outcome Condition What to do Result Evidence Build Spoiler
Julian Good Julian affection >7 plus Day 2 star flag Ask about his work, thoughts and home; tease him on Date 1 → connect with him at the theme park on Date 2 → accept him on Date 3 Good ending; unlocks Narrator on a new run 1 v1.1 Major
Julian Neutral Julian affection >6, no star flag Keep affection high enough but miss the Day 2 stargazing moment Neutral ending; developer calls it difficult to obtain 1 v1.1 Major
Julian Bad Low Julian affection by Date 3 Repeatedly choose dismissive or hurtful responses Bad ending 1 v1.1 Major
Julian early Bad Low affection at the end of Date 1 Choose to stop the date at the final Date 1 prompt Immediate early bad outcome 1 v1.1 Major
Narrator Good, no body Julian Good completed; New Game; Narrator affection ≥12 Include the Narrator from the intro, bond on the rides and ferris wheel; avoid the body-and-paint combination No-Body Good Ending 1 v1.1 Major
Narrator Good, body Narrator affection ≥12 plus body approval and painting Build the Narrator route on Date 2 → at the park say you want him to have a body and paint him Body Good Ending 1 v1.1 Major
Narrator Bad Narrator route active; affection <12 Reduce engagement with the Narrator while staying on his route Narrator Bad Ending 1 v1.1 Major

Julian’s stargazing gate

Why Julian’s good ending keeps failing: the sympathetic option that records the star scene on Date 2 only appears if his affection is already at least 6. The final Good Ending then needs affection strictly above 7 and that star-scene flag. Raising affection on Date 3 cannot replace a missed star moment. The official guide spells the flag name two ways; use the actual stargazing scene as your practical checkpoint.

Unlocking and routing the Narrator

Narrator route, in order: after Julian Good, start a fresh game and invite the Narrator into the opening conversation. On Date 1, ask him for help, thank him, and discuss capybaras. On Date 2, challenge his bluff and offer help. When Julian is scared on a ride, step away and reassure the Narrator; that exchange adds three affection points and unlocks deeper dialogue. On the ferris wheel, propose riding together and ask about becoming human. At the park before Date 3, agreeing to give him a body and choosing to paint him sets up the Body Good Ending. The Date 3 argument happens on every Narrator run.

Capybaras, ending counts and fixes

All three capybaras: ask Julian about his home on Date 1 for #1. Tease him while his affection is at least 2 for #2. At the bus stop on Date 2, ask about capybaras while carrying #2 to receive #3. The cute collection has a dependency chain: miss the second and the third stays out of reach.

Five endings or seven? The official game description advertises five endings: three Julian and two Narrator. The creator’s detailed walkthrough lists seven labeled outcomes, counting Julian’s early Date 1 failure separately and splitting the Narrator’s good outcome into body/no-body forms while also naming a Narrator bad outcome. The table therefore covers seven documented outcome labels, not a verified claim that the in-game ending gallery has seven unique slots.

Missing dialogue or choices: a March 16, 2026 bugfix repaired several Narrator scenes. Update older downloads to v1.1, finish Julian Good, and use New Game rather than Load. The game is English-only. The embedded browser shell was accessible, but choices and endings were not played through during this review.

Conclusion

Bottom line: secure Julian’s star event and Good Ending first. On a fresh run, build Narrator affection to 12 and decide at the park whether to give him a body. Track all seven documented outcomes and three capybaras without mistaking the marketing count for a complete route list.
