It isn't necessarily a video trick. Creators have demonstrated gameplay mechanics from one game working inside another. That does not mean an AI can merge two entire games flawlessly from a one-line prompt.
On September 27, 2026, a clip showed skateboarding in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. A September 29 demonstration placed Minecraft inside Elden Ring. On September 30, Skyrim appeared with Escape from Tarkov-style features. The genre boundaries seem to have been replaced with a revolving door.
This trend is called AI Video Game Merging in English. Developers inspect and adapt game code, sometimes using AI tools to help connect systems. It's far more involved than swapping a character's outfit: the rules have to work together.
The contrast is the joke. Imagine walking into a giant boss fight and thinking, “Should I craft a pickaxe first?” That's an imagined punch line, not a documented feature of a particular demo.
A flashy clip is not necessarily a finished downloadable release. The amount of human work and AI assistance varies by project. The worlds can collide, but someone still needs to fix the bugs.
