Plan comparison

Plan Credits Terms
Free 125 one-time never expires
Standard 625/month monthly
Pro 2,250/month monthly
Legacy Unlimited 2,250/month eligible legacy only
Max 9,500/month one-month rollover
Team 6,900/seat/month shared pool

Explore Mode changes

Unlimited included 2,250 monthly credits plus slower, sometimes queued Explore Mode generation. Max removes that mode and provides 9,500 monthly credits. The regular allowance rises about 4.22 times, but this is not four times an unlimited entitlement. Runway’s five-second Gen-4.5 example costs 60 credits, so 9,500 covers 158 identical clips before retries. Limited-time Unlimited promotions for specific models are different from Explore Mode.

Contract and effective dates

Monthly accounts convert automatically on November 30; annual subscribers choose a refund or bonus credits. Check personal email for eligibility and bonus amounts. The plan guide dates new Max availability to May 29, while the migration notice describes a June 1 rollout and the end of new Unlimited subscriptions. The notice updated August 27 confirms November 30, superseding older September 1 reports.

Resets and regions

Paid credits replenish within 24 hours of the billing date. Standard, Pro and legacy Unlimited balances expire; Max and Team roll over up to one month, while purchased credits never expire. No country-by-country eligibility list is published: check email and Plans & Billing. Taxes and currency conversion may affect the price; app and API credits are separate.

Conclusion

Bottom line: Explore Mode is replaced by Max’s 9,500-credit monthly pool.
