Description: How to unlock FOGWATCH's secret 12th ending, avoid the four-meter traps and tell the free game's 12 endings apart from The Drowned Bell's six additions.

To open the secret 12th ending, collect Elias Marsh's missing pages and refuse the correct person three times. The developer confirms both requirements. The identity of that person, the exact page count and the card sequence have not been published, so this is a verified route clue rather than a button-perfect walkthrough.

How the controls create the danger

On mobile, swipe a card left or right. On a keyboard, use the left and right arrows. Each answer changes Oil, Mind, Village or Larder. Both ends of every meter can end the season. You might think winning over the village is always good; push that approval too far and its residents may lock you inside the lighthouse. The game punishes excess as readily as neglect.

A practical search plan for ending 12

Watch for cards about Elias Marsh, the former keeper, and collect his scattered pages. Note refusals in each run rather than guessing that every 'no' counts. The developer says to refuse the right person three times but does not identify them. The Visitor, Tobin and the woman on the rocks, the ghost ship Meridian and Elias are named story arcs, not proof that any one character is the target. Check the in-game Endings gallery for its hints.

Why 12 and 18 are both correct

The free base game has 12 endings, including its secret twelfth. The Drowned Bell adds a second 20-night season and six more, for 18 across the package. The true ending is advertised for the paid expansion, so don't mistake the base game's secret ending for it. The Bell can reveal who a visitor really is and show the consequences of each choice once per night. In exchange it drains Mind and makes the visitors aware of you.

Access and what has not been reproduced

On 17 October 2026, the base page still showed Run game but its download section said 'currently unavailable'. The expansion page advertised a browser demo containing the entire base season and the first four expansion nights. I could read those pages, not operate the embedded card game or inspect its internal endings gallery. Individual names and thresholds for the other 11 base endings remain unverified.

Bottom line: collect Elias's pages and aim for three refusals of the relevant visitor, while keeping all four meters away from either extreme. The true ending and six additional outcomes belong to The Drowned Bell.
