Beschreibung: When to recover, clean viruses and bank your files; how ERROR and the streak multiplier work.

Recover files to build data and a streak multiplier, close virus pop-ups to lower corruption, and press BACK UP DATA before your unbanked haul becomes too risky. An ERROR wipes unbanked data, not your existing bank. The challenge is knowing when to stop pushing your luck.

Objective and controls

Open the official browser game and press START RECOVERY (20s). The embedded title reads THIS COMPUTER HAS 20 VIRUSES and the interface shows BUILD 0.5.0 // ARCADE. This is a 20-second score challenge, not a campaign with a confirmed final boss. BANKED DATA is secured; UNBANKED DATA is exposed; CORRUPTION affects risk and the final score. The opening example shows family_photos.zip +100 MB, 5% corruption and a 5% ERROR chance per attempt. These are observed opening values, not proven constants.

Step-by-step round

  1. Locate the banked and unbanked counters before starting.
  2. Click RECOVER FILE; successful attempts add data and build your streak.
  3. Close virus windows using × to reduce corruption and ERROR risk.
  4. When the unbanked total is worth protecting, click BACK UP DATA. Your streak resets, but your bank is safe.
  5. As the timer nears zero, decide whether one more recovery is worth risking the unbanked pile.

What to do in each situation

Situation Action Outcome Source
Need more data Click RECOVER FILE Success increases data and streak Game
Virus window appears Click its × Lower corruption and ERROR risk Game
Unbanked haul is valuable Click BACK UP DATA Secure data; reset streak Game
An ERROR triggers Build again from the saved bank Unbanked data lost; bank preserved Game
Corruption is high Clean viruses before more attempts Reduce risk and final-score penalty Game
Timer almost empty Consider banking immediately Protect the last unsaved haul Game

Safe play and common mistakes

Frequent backups favor consistency; longer recovery streaks can improve the multiplier but expose a bigger loss. No universal optimal backup interval has been verified. The screen also shows a global leaderboard, 12 achievements and four themes; individual unlock requirements were not verified.

Conclusion and sources

Recover, clean, bank, repeat. The antivirus may say NO THREATS DETECTED, but the ERROR counter disagrees.
