Description: The New Denpa Men closes on December 7, 2026 at 11 a.m. JST. The developer says Jewels, items and other in-game data will become unavailable. Here's what that means for your collection, the refund process and the Support ID you should save.

You should not count on continuing your existing adventure after the shutdown. Genius Sonority announced on October 5 that The New Denpa Men will end service on December 7, 2026, at 11 a.m. Japan time. In-game data, including Jewels and items, will no longer be usable afterward. As of October 15, the announcement offers no separate offline version to carry your collection forward.

Why does this hit differently from a normal delisting?

The New Denpa Men is a free-to-play RPG about catching tiny creatures found in the radio signals around you, then taking them on adventures. It launched on Switch in July 2024 and later reached phones and Switch 2. Collecting companions, decorating your island and watching your team grow are the point. Losing access is rather different from a game simply vanishing from a storefront.

The official notice addresses service and game data. It does not promise that keeping the downloaded software will preserve regular gameplay. Whether a title screen still launches is a separate question from whether your saved journey remains usable.

What have players said, and what should you do?

In an October 5 discussion on r/denpamen, one player said they loved the game; another described putting around 300 hours into it. Those are individual, verifiable reactions, not a survey of the entire community.

Sales of paid items stopped October 5. Unused paid in-game currency is eligible for a refund process to be announced after service ends; that wording should not be extended to free Jewels or every purchased item. You will need your Support ID, available from the title-screen Support option until March 31, 2027. The developer advises against deleting or reinstalling the game on another device until any refund process is finished.

Bottom line: Finish what matters to you before December 7, and keep your Support ID. Radio waves may be invisible, but saying goodbye to a team you raised for hundreds of hours feels very real.
