Description: Online play ends after May 2027, but an offline version is coming. Find out what can transfer, how the December 2026 migration works, and what happens to SYN COINS.

Some progress and eligible purchased items can carry over, but the transfer is not automatic. Players must launch the game with a stable internet connection and complete a specified procedure during the migration window. Otherwise, the offline version starts with a new save.[1][2]

The servers go; the adventure stays

The development team dated its announcement September 26, 2026; Bandai Namco's English site posted it September 28. Online service ends after May 2027, with the exact date expected around March 2027. The October 2026 event is planned as the last online content.[1]

This is an extraction shooter about taking a mech onto a dangerous surface, gathering resources and returning safely. Your equipment and Magus companion represent hours of effort. Simply being able to launch the game does not answer whether your own adventure survives.

A free update is not an automatic save transfer

Existing owners can update to the standalone offline version for free. Physical copies can be played using the disc and offline update.[2]

The feature for turning server data into a local save is scheduled for December 2026. Players must follow the official steps while connected to the internet during the designated period. Instructions will specify the required version, procedure and confirmation screen.[1][2]

The promise covers some saved data and designated purchased items. It does not yet guarantee every cosmetic, weapon or seasonal unlock. The eligible-item list matters more than assumptions about what a regular login preserves.

Paid items and SYN COINS are different

Sales of paid SYN COINS and related items end at 00:00 JST on December 18, 2026. Paid coins expire 150 days after initial activation, and the official FAQ says unused paid coins will not be refunded.[1][2] A transferable purchased item is not the same thing as an unspent currency balance. Check both your balance and expiration dates.

What kind of game remains?

The online player-versus-player-versus-environment experience will become an offline PvE extraction shooter. In the game's community, a player hoped older seasonal items might become obtainable as loot. That is a real player suggestion, not a confirmed feature.[3]

Bottom line

As of October 20, 2026, part of your history can survive if you complete the transfer. Watch for the December instructions. In a game about extracting valuable loot, the final item to bring home may be your own save file.
