Description: Ideogram now documents 30 free credits per week for Google, Apple or Microsoft sign-ins. Check the email-password exception, paid allowances, older figures and reset-time uncertainty.

Ideogram Free provides 30 credits each week to accounts signed in through Google, Apple or Microsoft. Accounts created with an email address and password do not receive that weekly allowance, according to the official Plans and Credits guide verified on October 15, 2026.[1][2] If your supposedly free account shows zero credits, your sign-in method is the first thing to inspect.

The login choice changes the free allowance

Free costs $0. The documented weekly credit benefit belongs to Google, Apple and Microsoft sign-ins. Email-and-password registration is still a way to open an account, but it does not qualify for those credits. The documentation does not promise the same allowance to SSO accounts or every possible login method; check the wallet shown in your own account.[1][2]

Thirty credits are not necessarily thirty images. Image and video generation, edits and upscales have different costs based on the model, quality, resolution and number of outputs. The app quotes a cost before you run most jobs. To see your balance, open the avatar menu and find Credits; paid users can inspect the split between plan and purchased credits in Wallet & Billing.[1]

Free, Plus, Pro and Team compared

Plan Monthly billing, USD before tax Allowance After the allowance
Free $0 30/week for eligible sign-ins Wait for next week or buy credits
Plus $20 2,400/month Unlimited slower-queue Ideogram-model generation
Pro $60 7,500/month Same, plus batch generation
Team $30/person, minimum two 3,600/person/month Same; credits assigned per member
Legacy Basic Closed to new buyers 960/month for existing subscribers Slower queue with a daily limit

Annual billing works out to $15/month for Plus, $42 for Pro and $20 per Team member, paid upfront. Even annual subscribers receive credits monthly, not as one yearly lump sum. Unused subscription credits expire at renewal; separately purchased credits last 365 days.[1][4]

Why do older pages say 10, 1,000 or 3,500?

Some older guides describe 10 free credits a week, 1,000 for Plus and 3,500 for Pro. The 3,500 Pro figure even appeared in Ideogram's December 17, 2024 batch-generation announcement.[6] The more recent official plan document, explicitly verified October 15, 2026, gives 30 weekly Free credits, 2,400 monthly Plus credits, 7,500 Pro credits and 3,600 per Team seat. The current pricing page agrees on the paid figures.[1][3]

There is one important qualification: the pricing FAQ describes weekly credits for eligible accounts and says the amount may vary. We therefore use 30 as the current documented allowance, not an unconditional lifetime guarantee. The precise effective date of the increase and the weekday, hour or timezone of the weekly reset were not established in the official sources checked October 18. Claims about a universal Saturday UTC reset should not be treated as confirmed policy.[1][3]

Public images, commercial work and the slow queue

Free generations are public. Plus, Pro and Team creations remain private until the owner publishes them, which matters for unreleased campaigns and client material. Ideogram says it does not claim ownership of generated output and permits commercial use, subject to third-party rights and the terms.[1][5]

When paid priority credits run out, standard Ideogram-model generations can continue in a slower queue. Reference images, editing, upscales, partner models and custom models still require credits. This is useful flexibility, but it is not a blanket promise that every paid feature becomes unlimited.[1][2]

Bottom line

For a genuinely free weekly allowance, check how you signed up, not just the Free label. Eligible social sign-ins get 30 credits per week under the current official guide; email-password accounts do not. Use your wallet to check what is actually available, and avoid planning around an unofficial reset clock.
