Description: Dead by Daylight's forums close at the end of October 2026. Here's what Behaviour is setting up on Discord, and why longtime posters worry about losing a place for careful discussion.

There will be somewhere to write longer feedback. Behaviour Interactive says its official Discord will get a dedicated channel for extended, threaded conversations when the forums close. The harder question is whether players will be able to find and follow those conversations as easily as before.

The game isn't ending; its discussion space is moving

On September 21, 2026, Behaviour announced that the official forums will close at the end of October. The studio says forum activity has declined as players spend more time on other platforms. It plans to concentrate community support on Discord, Steam Discussions and the Dead by Daylight subreddit. Existing forum members are also due invitations and a special Discord role.

That sounds like a straightforward move until you consider how feedback actually works. A forum thread about a test build can accumulate detailed replies over several days. In a busy chat server, players worry that a thoughtful post might vanish under the next wave of messages before anybody finds it.

A channel is a promise; its usability is the test

On September 27, one forum user asked where detailed public test build feedback would go, arguing that Discord threads could be harder to follow. On October 12, another wrote that the replies they had received on the forums had been genuinely helpful. Those are individual player experiences, not proof that the new Discord space will fail.

Behaviour has addressed the need for long-form discussion in its plan. What players will be watching is whether feedback stays organized, searchable and visible to the team once the move happens. Hiding from the killer is part of Dead by Daylight. Having your bug report disappear into the fog shouldn't be.
