Description: The Great Khali's pastel K-drama photos are real. Here's what Netflix India's K-Paglu caption means, what happens in the carousel, and why wrestling fans recognize the joke.

That enormous man in pink polka-dot pyjamas is really The Great Khali, a former WWE world champion. Netflix India posted the pictures on Monday, October 19, 2026, as part of a Korean-drama promotion. The punchline is the complete change of scenery: a wrestler famous for intimidating opponents is now emotionally defeated by a television romance.

Follow the photos, not a fictional wrestling storyline

In the Instagram carousel, Khali sits in a pink bedroom with hair bows, soft toys and fairy lights. He makes a Korean-style finger heart, admires a scrapbook devoted to K-dramas, hugs a pillow and eats noodles. The final image, as described by ThePrint, shows him wiping away tears while watching When Life Gives You Tangerines, tissues close at hand. This is a promotional photo series, not footage of a WWE match or an announcement that he stars in a new Korean show.

The pictures build a small story: a seemingly formidable man becomes an enthusiast, then a sentimental viewer. The last image works because the former ring villain has met an opponent he cannot body-slam: a moving plot.

What does “K-paglu with a capital K” mean?

The K refers to Korean dramas. Paglu is an informal Hindi term often used affectionately for someone a little crazy about something. Here, K-Paglu means an unapologetically obsessed K-drama fan. “With a capital K” playfully turns up the emphasis. It is Indian wordplay, not a Korean phrase or the title of a new series.

The campaign was already using that label elsewhere. An October 19 promotional report described Indian truck art repurposed to declare its love for K-dramas. The Khali photographs are another deliberately unexpected way to make the same fan identity visible.

Why Khali, of all people?

WWE lists Khali at 7 feet 1 inch and records his 2007 World Heavyweight Championship and 2021 Hall of Fame induction. The man who once towered over The Undertaker is framed as a cosy, tender-hearted fan. His physical presence makes the pastel room seem even more improbable.

But the idea is not entirely unprecedented. ThePrint recalled a 2011 WWE comedy appearance in a pink fairy outfit. WWE's own biography also documents his later “Punjabi Playboy” persona and romantic comedy segments. The Netflix images exaggerate an established playful side rather than revealing a secret second career.

Why did the pictures spread?

Reports dated October 20 quote both startled wrestling viewers and people calling the look adorable. The reactions are real examples from specific posts, not evidence that every WWE fan loved or hated it. The timing also matters: Netflix India published a new, easy-to-share carousel on October 19, and entertainment and wrestling outlets picked it up the next day.

The original Instagram post and contemporary reports establish the campaign and its imagery. They do not establish a new drama role, a production deal or a release date for Khali. The descriptions of individual frames follow the original post link and contemporary reporting.

Bottom line: K-Paglu means a devoted Korean-drama fan in Netflix India's playful Hindi-English vocabulary. Khali's most unexpected opponent in these pictures is not another wrestler. It's the finale of a tear-jerking show.
