The “Two Fishes” trend turns an oddly confident dating analogy into a soundtrack for questionable decisions. A creator puts an excuse on screen, lip-syncs to a calm voice arguing that having two fish does not mean returning one, and acts as though the matter is settled. The speaker in the original Love Island USA Season 8 clip was Sincere Rhea, although some October trend roundups credit fellow contestant Corbin Mims.

A dating argument escaped the villa

A June 5, 2026 report described Sincere comparing his interest in more than one romantic connection to admiring two fish. It was his attempt to defend keeping his options open. The analogy is funny because it sounds like a neat rule while quietly skipping the part where other people have feelings. It is a very elaborate way to say, “I want both.”

By October 2, a TikTok trend explainer documented creators borrowing the audio for unrelated disputes. Put “me explaining how I can save money and still book a trip” above the video, then deliver the fish logic with patient hand gestures. The mismatch is the punch line: a budget question receives an answer from an imaginary aquarium. The straighter the face, the more absurd the defense sounds.

Why do some posts say CorbinGPT?

Corbin Mims appeared on the same season and became the subject of a separate “CorbinGPT” joke about his unusually composed delivery. That overlap appears to have encouraged misattribution. The June reporting identifies Sincere as the speaker, and an October 2 account explicitly distinguishes his quote from Corbin's separate meme. The trend name is “Two Fishes”; “CorbinGPT” describes a different running joke.

To use the format, pick a harmless contradiction you are determined to defend, state it plainly in a caption, and lip-sync as if the fish analogy were the final word. The joke is not that two fish prove anything. It is that an utterly unrelated metaphor has somehow become the most confident lawyer in the room.
