Description: Check the Syren launch deadline, recurring Basic credits, region restrictions and the separate 5,000-credit waitlist bonus.

Answer: Synthesia says the 2,000 Syren-only credits distributed October 9, 2026 expire November 9 at 23:59 BST. This is separate from the free Basic plan's recurring 500 credits. Once the launch balance is gone, Syren uses standard account credits.[1]

Four allowances, four rules

Allowance Amount and eligibility Reset or expiry
Syren launch 2,000 for eligible users; Syren only Nov 9, 23:59 BST
Basic recurring 500 credits, 10 video/dubbing minutes, 3 survey responses Monthly
Interactive Avatar welcome 60 minutes Once
Waitlist promotion Extra 5,000 for first 1,000 qualifying applicants Individual billing-cycle end

Can Basic use Syren, and how many videos?

The October 9 beta covers Basic, Starter, Pro and Enterprise. However, the developer documentation limits free access to selected regions without publishing a complete country list. Check the Tools menu in your account. Enterprise requires a full license and administrators can disable the feature. Basic output has a watermark; downloads and sharing are enabled for the “first two weeks”, with no explicit starting point. Starter and Pro remove the watermark.[1][2][7]

Syren videos have a three-minute maximum. The pricing page estimates 1,000–2,000 credits for a typical one-minute Syren video, versus about 100 credits per minute for ordinary avatar video. Another official feature page gives a two-minute example with limited revisions at 1,000–2,000. These are variable estimates. Test a short project and watch your balance. The included ten video minutes do not mean ten free minutes inside Syren.[1][3]

Plans, October changes and the 5,000-credit offer

Regular monthly credits: Basic 500, Starter 1,750, Pro 6,500; Pro 2×/4×/6×/8× offer 12,500/24,500/36,500/48,500. The USD monthly pricing display shows $0/$29/$89 for Basic/Starter/Pro; Enterprise is quoted. On October 1, Creator became Pro and increased from 3,600 to 6,500 credits with existing prices and billing dates unchanged. Monthly plans refill each cycle; annual plans receive the year's credits up front. Ordinary unused credits do not roll over; purchased credits last 12 months under the pricing FAQ.[3][4][5]

The separate 5,000-credit waitlist bonus required signup by October 8 at 23:59 BST, an existing Basic/Starter/Pro account, an eligible territory and a place among the first 1,000. The 20-territory list includes the US, UK, Japan, Germany and France; Enterprise was excluded. Those 5,000 expire at each recipient's billing-cycle end.[6] The help page's November 9 “BST” label also conflicts with the UK's October 25 summer-time change. Keep the official date but confirm the exact local cutoff with support.[1][8]

Bottom line

The 2,000 launch credits, Basic's monthly 500 and the waitlist's 5,000 are three different balances. Check availability, balance and the download window before testing.
