Description: A practical guide to Mori, Amir and Akello’s six outcomes, the vote locations, and why Chapter Selection can ruin an ending run after update 1.1.0.
Tri City Monsters has six principal outcomes: a Human and a Monster ending for each of Mori, Amir and Akello. Every ending-relevant choice listed by the developer awards one vote to one side, and the leading side determines the finale at the end of Chapter Eight. The October 19, 2026 v1.1.0 notes expose a crucial trap: launching a chapter through Chapter Selection does not carry earlier ending votes forward. Use normal saves for completion runs.

Pick one character route and one outcome first. For Monster, favor instinct, risk and self-directed impulses; for Human, favor restraint, trust and maintaining connections. These are not good and bad endings. In a direct response to a player, the developer described them as different flavors of the characters’ development.
Vote locations by chapter
The following counts are entries in the July 12 official vote guide, not guaranteed votes available on one playthrough. Some prompts are conditional or alternate versions of a scene. This map shows where decisions are concentrated and why choosing differently only at the finale may be insufficient.
| Character | Intro | Chapters 1–8: guide entries |
|---|---|---|
| Mori | 1 | 3 / 1 / 1 / 1 / 1 / 3 / 3 / 2 (16) |
| Amir | 1 | 2 / 1 / 2 / 2 / 3 / 1 / 3 / 0 (15) |
| Akello | 1 | 3 / 5 / 3 / 1 / 0 / 1 / 0 / 1 (15) |
Concrete choice checkpoints (spoilers)
| Scene | Monster +1 | Human +1 |
|---|---|---|
| Mori · Chapter 4 | Go to Mori when he is suffering | Stay where he asked you to remain |
| Mori · Chapter 8 | Accept that the monster form is truly him | Describe that form as only part of him |
| Amir · Introduction | Treat the proposal as a demon bargain | Frame it as a mutually useful agreement |
| Amir · Chapter 7 | Approve the clever but risky plan | Warn him that the plan could hurt him |
| Akello · Chapter 1 | Act on the urge to kiss him | Hold back because you barely know him |
| Akello · Chapter 8 | Say Jones deserves the consequences | Offer Raath your assistance |
Route-specific details
Mori also earns votes in Chapter One when you respond to his vulnerability, Chapter Six during family and work exchanges, and Chapter Seven when he struggles with impulses. Chapter Eight has two separate vote moments: how you answer his declaration and how you interpret his monster form.
Amir’s early bargain, the empathy-versus-understanding decisions in Chapter Three, the secret and power discussions in Chapter Five, and the risky plan in Chapter Seven all matter. One Chapter Five prompt is conditional: the guide says it disappears if you previously forbade Amir from entering your mind.
Akello’s votes cluster in Chapter Two (five entries) and Chapter Three (three). Later checkpoints concern how you see his return from death, his remaining humanity and the plan involving Jones. The official list contains no vote entry for Akello’s Chapters Five or Seven.
In v1.1.0, Chapter Selection moved under Extras. The developer explicitly says it starts gameplay code from scratch and loses ending votes from earlier chapters. It remains useful for replaying scenes, but not for preserving a complete vote history. Make early saves and reload them to pursue the opposite ending.
Sources and version
The choice guide dates to July 12, 2026; patch 1.1.0 arrived October 19 and revised some choice wording and dialogue. The examples above paraphrase the intended actions rather than claim to reproduce current buttons verbatim. Tie handling, exact updated labels and firsthand verification of all six finales remain open. The game is intended for adults and contains sexual and violent content.

Conclusion
The reliable approach is to build a clear majority for the desired side from the beginning, then finish Chapter Eight from an ordinary save. The tempting chapter shortcut is exactly what can erase the votes you worked to collect.
