A post titled “To be on time is important” appeared on r/AntiMemes on October 27, 2026. Yet the conversation did not stay focused on the original gag. Several commenters were preoccupied with a much smaller detail: something that looked like a “2/3” image counter and apparently persuaded them to swipe.
A second picture promised by a few pixels
On a phone, “2/3” usually means you are looking at the second of three photos. A number painted into an image can mimic that interface without providing another slide. That is the basic trick behind a fake carousel, or swipe bait: the audience supplies the action the picture cannot perform.
One reply complained that whoever edited the image should have removed the “2/3” as well, because the commenter swiped. Another admitted that even when a trap is obvious, the urge to tap remains. Those are firsthand public comments about their reactions, not independent verification of every pixel in the attachment; the full image was not directly inspected here.
“I wiped” is a confession, not a cleaning tip
Another reply offered the wonderfully economical “I wiped.” In this context it is a joking deformation of “I swiped,” a familiar way of admitting that a fake gallery fooled you. It is not a new phrase coined by this particular post. A February 2025 Reddit thread already contains both an admission of swiping despite suspecting bait and the same “I wiped” wording.
Other commenters discussed how an element in the lower part of the picture looked edited, or simply admitted that the joke made them laugh. The thread became three conversations at once: what the image says, how it was assembled, and what it made viewers do.
Original joke: the thumb has already voted
The following is an invented sketch, not a real Reddit exchange. The brain announces, “We have identified the trap.” The thumb files an objection, swipes left anyway, and then asks where the missing third picture went. A meeting is called to investigate. The official finding: sound judgment upstairs, repeat offender downstairs.
That is why this tiny prank works. The image does not need an elaborate punchline; it borrows a routine gesture from the viewer. Your finger delivers the joke before you finish reading.
The takeaway
The October 27 replies document people reporting a swipe prompted by the “2/3” cue. The attachment’s full visual details were not independently verified. The delightful reversal is that the person trying to see the next image becomes the next part of the joke.
