At his peak, Moko Leirald is clearly the strongest character. In the complete eight-chapter Japanese web novel Yūsha Party o Tsuihō Saresō ni Natta SSS-kyū Tensai Madōshi, Yūsha-sama o Ukkari Koroshite Shimau (N9153EW), he combines devastating attacks, battlefield control, teleportation and healing. The English rendering of the title and Latin spellings here are descriptive, not asserted official localizations. Spoilers for the entire ending.
This is a peak-ability ranking built from actions described in the text, not a fictional bracket tournament. Characters from different generations never all fight one another, so places two through four are provisional.
1. Moko Leirald — the strongest mage, even before the twist
Chapter 2 has Moko launch thousands of swallow-shaped magical projectiles and deliberately direct 120 lightning strikes in one minute away from his targets. He is showing overwhelming precision as well as power. Chapter 4 recounts his role in the elite campaign that defeated the Demon King and his later war service. In chapter 6, he pins eight attackers with wide-area gravity magic that activates without a visible movement. Add healing, barriers and spatial magic, and the lead is decisive. In the final chapter, however, he spends himself creating a powerful sword for a young challenger. Years later, he says his ability has fallen below half its peak. The strongest mage voluntarily helps create someone who might surpass him.
2. Fuuta Jilgies — the hero's body, a goblin's mind
Do not confuse him with the original hero. The intelligent goblin Gob Leen, introduced in chapter 3, eventually inhabits the deceased Fuuta's resurrected body through forbidden magic. As Fuuta Jilgies, he travels and fights beside Moko, including in the years surrounding the Demon King's defeat and subsequent warfare (chapter 4). The hero's capable body, extensive experience and strategic judgment place him second here. His exact standing against the other fighters remains an inference; no solo duel settles it.
3. The original Hero Fuuta — the Dark Dragon finisher
Before the accident, Fuuta dealt the final blow against the Dark Dragon in chapter 1. He was a formidable frontline warrior, but the party relied heavily on Moko's defenses and recovery spells. The infamous death in chapter 2 was caused by deadly poison he accidentally consumed. It was not a one-on-one defeat at Moko's hands. One of the story's biggest tricks is making the title sound like proof of battle superiority when it describes an accident.
4. Kanna — the former healer who counters gravity magic
Her early incompetence is a poor guide to her later capabilities. In chapter 6, when Moko tests her with gravity magic, Kanna immediately draws a spell circle and cancels it. Eight ordinary aggressors had been unable to resist a similar spell moments earlier. That is a meaningful anti-magic feat. Without a comparable major offensive battle, she remains fourth overall, but a magic-dependent opponent should take her seriously.
5. Sota Trasfield — the successor carrying Moko's forbidden blade
Sota is the original Fuuta and Rinko's son. His knife attack against Moko in chapter 7 lands only because Moko consciously refuses to dodge. In chapter 8, Moko transforms that weapon into a powerful sword using forbidden magic. Five years later, Sota trains with the knights and finally defeats Roko. He has not yet defeated Moko: the promised duel lies beyond the final page. This makes him the strongest future challenger rather than the current number one.
6. Roko — the powerful wall Sota finally clears
Roko is Moko's son and a promising future leader among the royal knights. At first, Moko believes Sota still cannot defeat him. By the ending, Sota arrives celebrating his first victory. Roko's loss establishes their result at that point, not that Roko is weak. The text does not present the full duel, so its exact margin is unknown.
Two Fuutas, one fatal ranking error
The original Fuuta dies after the Dark Dragon battle. The later man bearing his face is Gob Leen in a revived body. Adding the original hero's dragon feat and the goblin companion's years of campaigning together would create an imaginary composite fighter. Chapters 3–4 explain why they must be evaluated separately.
The ending delivers the real reversal. Moko's second forbidden spell weakens him, yet he hopes to live long enough to spar with the boy who may eventually beat him. The apparent revenge story ends with the strongest man looking forward to losing his crown. That's much more memorable than an invented power level.
