Description: A spoiler-heavy ranking of Vulcan, Riu, Rosada, Eimeria and Fergus using actual duels, monster battles and magic from the completed Japanese web novel.
Vulcan ranks first overall; Riu is second and may already beat him in speed. His proven finishing power against dangerous opponents gives him the edge. The story never stages a final, decisive father-versus-daughter duel. This is a ranking of the original Japanese web edition, not an official power chart. The English title and Romanized names here are descriptive editorial renderings, not claimed official translations.
Full-series spoilers. The standard is combat performance at the end of chapter 57: direct results first, then damage, movement, defense, special abilities and battlefield usefulness. A team victory does not become a solo feat just because one fighter landed the last blow.
1. Vulcan Underwood — the most reliable finisher
In chapters 13–15, Vulcan gains the upper hand against Fergus, once his near-equal; their practice match is interrupted before a formal finish. In chapter 29, he kills the enormous Grazheiga by exploiting an opening created by Riu's thrown blade. His heavy sword breaks a Danbunir's scales in chapter 48. Most importantly, he defeats and disarms Rosada in their direct duel in chapter 53, despite taking wounds. Riu may be quicker, but Vulcan's strength, judgment and confirmed win put him first.
2. Riu — faster, sharper, and still improving
During chapter 10 training, Riu slips inside her father's guard and wounds his abdomen. He wins the practice bout through a falling sword's accidental contact: hardly a comfortable victory. In chapters 24–25, she outruns him through the night forest. In chapters 50–52, she reads movement through smoke and kills armored Danbunir by striking eyes and mouths. Her lighter weapon struggles against the giant ape's body, which keeps her second. Darkness or a close-range duel could reverse the order.
3. Felix Rosada — far worse when his beasts join in
In chapters 46–47, Rosada's twin knives and trained Danbunir overwhelm Vulcan until Riu intervenes. He also uses smoke and tactical withdrawal. Yet Vulcan wins their cleaner one-on-one fight in chapter 53. A separate white Grazheiga extracts Rosada in chapter 54. Third place reflects his personal combat ability; counting every beast under his command would make him a threat even to the top-ranked fighter.
4. Eimeria — magic makes the battlefield bigger
A chapter 41 flashback shows Eimeria altering her mace's path with spirit power and breaking swords. She later trains until she can fight alongside Vulcan (chapter 44). Fergus credits her spirit magic with reducing the damage during Torkia's defense in chapter 55. Healing and wide-area support earn her fourth overall. A pure sword-range duel against Fergus remains open to debate.
5. Fergus Riebert — an elite swordsman, not a ceremonial commander
The old friends' record was roughly even (chapter 12). Fergus demonstrates rapid thrusts and deceptive changes of tempo in chapters 13–15, although today's Vulcan is clearly ahead. He organizes the village defense in chapter 55. His dueling evidence is stronger than Eimeria's; her magic gives her more options in a large battle. That fourth–fifth ordering is the closest call.
What about Grazheiga?
The giant ape is a separate monster category. It requires Vulcan and Riu's combined efforts to kill one in chapter 29, while another carries Rosada to safety in chapter 54. Ranking raw strength across humans and monsters would answer a different question.
Verdict: Vulcan is the best proven finisher, Riu the most alarming challenger. The joke is that trying to stay stronger than his daughter makes the father stronger too—and gives the daughter an even better training partner.
