Summary: Steam sales of Wet Dreams Don't Dry and Wet Dreams Dry Twice are due to end on October 23, 2026. Existing purchases are expected to stay playable in owners' libraries. The immediate deadline concerns people who still want to buy the games, not players who already own them.

The publisher, Assemble Entertainment, announced that the two most recent Leisure Suit Larry adventures would leave Steam after October 23. The games launched in 2018 and 2020, reviving the old comedy-adventure series with Larry Laffer bumbling through modern dating culture. This time the awkward encounter is with a store's closing date.

Delisted doesn't mean deleted

A delisting stops new purchases through a storefront. It normally leaves previously purchased copies in the buyer's Steam library, and coverage of this announcement says existing owners can continue playing. That is a different situation from an online-only game having its servers shut down. These are single-player point-and-click adventures.

The publisher's message concerns sales; it doesn't offer a promise covering every possible future compatibility issue. If you already bought either title, checking your library is more useful than treating October 23 as a countdown to losing it.

Why are players concerned about the series?

Steam already lost several earlier Larry games in 2025. When the last two newer entries also received a removal date, Reddit commenters worried about the shrinking availability of the series and the fragility of digital storefronts. Others pointed out the distinction between losing a listing and losing a purchased game. Those are documented reactions, not proof that all players feel the same way.

Assemble has not announced what comes next for Larry. A licensing explanation has been suggested, but no official reason for this removal was given in the notice. Steam displayed steep discounts ahead of the deadline, with prices varying by country and platform; other stores should be checked separately.

Larry has spent decades failing to read the room. Here, at least, the sign on the door is clear: October 23 is the deadline for buying on Steam, not a scheduled eviction from your library.
