Description: An October 2026 check of 50 daily credits, first-generation refresh, Plus/Pro/Ultra monthly allowances, Veo costs, eligibility and Japan top-up rules.

Google Flow’s official pricing page offers 50 credits a day without a Google AI subscription. Paid users receive the same daily 50 plus a separate monthly allocation. Yet Google’s general getting-started guide still lists a paid subscription as a requirement. Check your own account after signing in.

Plan comparison

Account Daily Extra monthly
Without Google AI subscription 50 0
Google AI Plus 50 200
Google AI Pro 50 1,000
Google AI Ultra ($100 tier) 50 10,000
Google AI Ultra ($200 tier) 50 25,000

When do credits reset?

Google says the first generation of the day triggers the daily refresh. Its example: first use on August 12 makes the next 50 available August 13. No universal midnight, timezone or exact minute is specified. Unused daily credits do not roll over. Paid monthly credits refresh at the beginning of the billing cycle, not automatically on the first of each calendar month, and unused monthly credits also expire. Subscribers can check the next refresh date in Google One.

What does 50 buy?

Veo 3.1 Lite costs 10 credits per generation, Fast 20 and Quality 100. Fifty credits cover up to five Lite clips or two Fast clips, but not one Quality generation. Charges are per generated output, not per prompt: a request producing two clips can cost twice as much. Gemini Omni Flash has duration- and resolution-dependent prices. Verify model eligibility and the cost shown in Flow before generating.

Eligibility, Workspace and peak hours

Google requires verified age 18+ and a supported region. Japan is supported but additional AI credits cannot be purchased there. Qualifying Workspace Business, Enterprise and Education plans include Flow at no extra charge with 50 daily credits. Video generation for non-subscribers may be restricted around 14:00–17:00 UTC; Google says image generation and Flow Agent remain available.

Why do official Google pages disagree?

The pricing and credit-specific pages explicitly support free daily credits without a subscription. The general onboarding guide still requires Plus, Pro or Ultra. We prioritize the pages specifically defining pricing and allowances, while treating actual access as account-dependent. Older Google pages offered a one-time 100-credit bonus; the current pricing page does not promise it. The August 18, 2025 Ultra announcement doubled its monthly allocation from 12,500 to 25,000, but today there are two Ultra tiers. Japanese help shows 10 credits for 4K upscaling while the English original shows 50: use the English source and confirm the current cost in-product. No exact effective date for the present daily policy could be established.

Bottom line

Sign in, check your balance under the profile and inspect model costs in Settings. If free credits appear, try Lite first. Checked October 18, 2026.
