That flying plate of broccoli has become a dramatic way to say, “I’m not dealing with this right now.” In Fanum Throwing Broccoli, streamer Fanum chucks some vegetables behind him. Edited versions reward the throw with an explosion, because apparently refusing broccoli requires action-movie special effects.

The original footage comes from a Kai Cenat stream. A clip uploaded to YouTube on May 31, 2023 shows Cenat presenting Fanum with broccoli. Fanum rejects the plate, throws it back and walks off. The extra joke: Fanum was already associated with “Fanum Tax,” a bit about taking a share of other people’s food. Even the food tax collector has standards.

An explosion edit appeared on TikTok on July 18, 2026. During September, creators used the shot for things they suddenly had permission to ignore: a test that wouldn’t be graded, or an assignment that wasn’t due tomorrow. A September 27 variation turned a parent’s order to study into an instant motivation killer.

Responsibility appears; Fanum sends it airborne. The explosion is just the sound of procrastination winning.
