Fill every target circle within 20 seconds, then keep them all filled for half a second. Move every ink cell together with the arrow keys or WASD and split with Space. Copies move in mirrored directions, so arrange the whole group rather than trying to steer one cell at a time.

Play and controls

Play BloTosis free in your browser. NeBITula published this 20 Second Game Jam 2026 entry on October 24, 2026 at 13:45 UTC. The current demo has eight Stage 1 levels. Each begins with 400 ink, and only ink ending inside the circles counts toward your score.

Arrows/WASD: steer all cells. Space: divide. R: restart. Esc: home. M: toggle sound. On touchscreens, drag to steer and tap the divide button. Divisions can create two, four and eight cells, adding left-right mirroring, up-down mirroring and axis swapping. Each cell has a small comma marker showing its movement direction.

A practical route through the demo

  1. Survey the targets. Touching each circle once is not enough; they must all be occupied simultaneously.
  2. Split only when useful. More cells can reach more targets but add mirrored controls. Test one short movement after every division.
  3. Read the comma markers. A cell going the opposite way may be following its correct mirrored input, not malfunctioning.
  4. Hold the completed layout for 0.5 seconds. Avoid drifting out of a circle just before the game registers a clear.
  5. Match cell size to the obstacle. Only small cells pass through membranes. Bring small cells together to fuse them for larger circles.
  6. Protect ink from parasites. Patrollers follow fixed paths; stalkers approach the nearest cell. A bitten cell loses its ink.
  7. Watch the square-room finale. The developer says the third division swaps axes there. Recheck the markers rather than assuming earlier controls still apply.
  8. Improve the stored best. Your best ink amount and time per level are saved in the browser. The eight levels start with 3200 ink in total; 2400/3200 is the stated Stage 2 unlock requirement. Stage 2 is planned for a later update, not available in the current demo.

Troubleshooting

Problem What to do
A copy goes backwards Check its comma marker
All circles were touched but no clear Fill together and hold 0.5 seconds
A membrane blocks progress Use a smaller divided cell
A large circle stays underfilled Fuse smaller cells
Ink disappears Avoid patrollers and nearest-cell stalkers
Score is low Keep more remaining ink inside circles

FAQ and takeaway

Does keeping all 400 ink guarantee a clear? No. Simultaneous filling and the hold determine a clear; ink inside circles determines score. Can I enter Stage 2 with 2400 already? Its threshold is published, but Stage 2 is still forthcoming. Is there a guaranteed eight-level key sequence? No full playthrough or exact optimal route was independently tested here.

Split to cross narrow passages; fuse to fill larger targets. More ink cells mean more possibilities, but also more directions to manage with one command.
