Description: Leonardo AI Free refreshes 150 tokens every 24 hours. Paid Essential, Premium and Ultimate plans refill monthly and can bank unused tokens. Compare prices, cancellation rules and conflicting official guides.

Answer: Free gets 150 tokens every 24 hours, with no accumulation of leftovers. Paid individual plans refill on their own billing dates and can bank unused monthly tokens up to a limit. There is no single official reset hour for every account.[1][2]

Current plans (USD monthly billing, before tax; checked October 18, 2026)

Plan Monthly price Regular allowance Rollover Bank cap Relaxed generation
Free $0 150/24 hours None None
Essential $12 8,500/month 25,500 None
Premium $30 25,000/month 75,000 Selected images
Ultimate $60 60,000/month 180,000 Selected images and video

Annual billing works out to $10, $24 and $48 per month for the paid tiers. Essential's 25,500 is storage capacity, not an extra monthly award. Its new monthly allowance remains 8,500.[1][3]

What time does Free reset? Is that 150 images?

Hover over your token balance in the app to see the next refresh. The help center suggests contacting support if no refill arrives for more than 48 hours. Tokens are not image counts: model, resolution, number of outputs, reference images and editing settings affect the cost shown on the Generate button.[2][5][7]

Free generations are public; private generation is a paid feature. Free includes a commercial-use licence, but ownership and visibility terms differ from paid subscriptions. Check those conditions before uploading confidential client concepts.[1]

Paid renewals, rollover and top-ups

Monthly paid allowances renew on your billing anniversary, not necessarily the first of the month. The Rollover Bank can hold up to three monthly allowances. Your balance separates Fast Tokens, Rollover Bank and purchased Top-up Tokens.[2][3]

The dedicated rollover guide is dated July 28, 2026 and the top-up guide August 25, 2026. These are documentation dates, not proof of first launch. Purchased top-ups do not expire, but spending them requires an active paid individual subscription. Team Starter and Growth cannot purchase these packs.[3][4]

Canceling removes your Rollover Bank balance. Pausing preserves the bank record but restricts current use to the free daily 150 and Free features. Downgrading discards anything above the lower bank cap. Purchased top-ups remain visible after cancellation but are locked until resubscription; deleting the account loses all tokens.[3][4]

Premium's advertised unlimited mode applies to eligible image models at lower priority. Ultimate extends it to selected video models. The mode activates automatically after balances run out; third-party models and Flow State may still need tokens.[1][2]

Why do official pages disagree?

A July 3, 2025 Spanish help page still says unused paid tokens expire and mentions legacy plans. Current pricing and the July 2026 dedicated rollover guide list the new caps explicitly, so they take precedence.[1][3][6]

Spending order also conflicts: the general FAQ says Fast before Rollover, while the August 25 top-up guide lists Rollover → Fast → Top-up. Both put purchased tokens last. Check actual balance movements before relying on the order of the first two.[2][4]

Bottom line

Free: 150 per 24 hours, no savings. Paid: monthly refill and capped rollover. Top-ups: separate and subscription-gated. Checked October 18, 2026; taxes and payment eligibility vary by region.
