description: The real Reddit jokes about “chewing” Guinness, the Cheeky Pint clip, and Zuckerberg's October 2026 reply.

On October 12, 2026, Cheeky Pint published an interview about artificial intelligence. The internet preferred twelve seconds of Mark Zuckerberg drinking Guinness. He took a sip, seemed to pause, and put down his glass. People assigned all kinds of meanings to the expression. On October 13 he responded: “that's just my face.” A four-word answer to a remarkably elaborate collective theory.

A 134-minute interview, one tiny scene

Host John Collison, a Stripe cofounder, spoke with Zuckerberg and Meta AI executive Alexandr Wang about technology plans. Yet the short beer excerpt spread across X and Reddit. A hesitation became a story in its own right.

The clip cannot establish whether he disliked the stout. Business Insider reported an observer's estimate that Zuckerberg drank about 1.4 pints across the episode. “He couldn't finish a sip” is a joke, not a reliable summary of the full recording.

Reddit made a liquid chewable

On October 13, a comment in r/SipsTea read: “Never seen someone try and chew a Guinness.” The joke moves beer from the category of liquids into the category of solid food. Suddenly a short pause looks like an entire meal.

In r/Fauxmoi, another commenter wrote: “Robot cannot process this liquid.” Others noted that not enjoying a particular beer is perfectly normal. These are real public reactions, not invented quotes. The comic contrast is between the futuristic AI conversation and a glass that briefly appears to require technical support.

The subject of the meme supplies the ending

Mark Malone shared the excerpt on X on October 12. Zuckerberg answered a later discussion on October 13 with “that's just my face.” The internet tried to infer emotion from a frame; the person in the frame corrected its baseline.

Three original jokes written for this article: AI help desk: “Displeasure detected.” “That's my default expression.” “Recalibrating.” News meeting: “What was the big AI announcement?” “We're still investigating the pint.” Tasting notes: “How did it taste?” “Please consult the facial-expression manual.”

The punchline

This is funny because a vast discussion about AI lost the spotlight to one small, ambiguous gesture. The podcast discussed artificial intelligence; the comment section conducted amateur facial recognition. The most concise documentation came from the person being analyzed.
