Keep the castle on the left alive, spend coins to deploy cats, and destroy the monster lair on the right first. Once your defense holds, upgrade the Wallet to improve income; use the charged Meow Cannon when the enemy line threatens to overwhelm you. Clearing a stage unlocks the next one. This is a practical plan built from the developer's rules, not a personally verified flawless run.
Play link and controls
Play Pixel Meow Legion in your browser. On desktop, click a unit card or use keys 1–5; on mobile, tap a card and use landscape orientation. W upgrades the Wallet, Space fires the Meow Cannon, S toggles 1×/2× speed, and P/Esc pauses. Losing your own castle before destroying the lair means failing that battle. Stage progress is saved in the browser.
Walkthrough: meadow to forest
- Start Green Meadow. Deploy an affordable cat immediately to stop enemies reaching the castle. Do not spend every available coin on income upgrades while your defense is collapsing.
- Try Box Cat, explicitly described as a tank, at the front. Put Archer Cat behind it as a sensible formation to test. This placement is advice, not a documented mandatory combination.
- Against a crowded lane, use Mecha Cat, whose documented attack hits an area and knocks enemies back. When the cannon has charged, press Space to repel enemies. Exact damage and cooldown values have not been verified.
- Destroy the right-hand lair to unlock Sunset Canyon. Rebuild your frontline before prioritizing Wallet upgrades, then push forward.
- Clear Canyon to enter Shadow Forest. The documented roster includes Goo Slime, Spikeball, Iron Turtle, Shadow Crow and the Boar King boss. Watch the actual wave and adjust your deployments; do not assume an undocumented weakness or fixed spawn order.
- Destroy the lair in Shadow Forest to finish the three stages documented by the developer. Do not confuse this with an unverified secret ending.

Common problems and recovery
Always broke? Spend enough to defend first, then buy Wallet upgrades when there is breathing room. Getting rushed? Turn off 2× speed, watch the lane, and reconsider the tank, Mecha Cat and cannon. Next level locked? Make sure you actually destroyed the enemy lair. Browser-based saving is confirmed; cross-browser save transfers are not.
Version differences and verification
Pixel Meow Legion: Bloodbath adds optional cartoon gore to the same lane-battle structure. The developer says the five cats, five enemies, boss, three stages, Wallet and cannon remain; gore can be disabled. Shared saves between the two versions have not been confirmed.
Verified from the developer: controls, units and roles explicitly named, enemies, stage names, victory objective, Wallet, cannon and local progress saving. Not independently tested: a full three-stage playthrough, unit prices, damage numbers, boss timing, optimal composition and any hidden ending. No measured social-media growth rate is available.
Bottom line
Defend before investing, invest when safe, then use knockback and cannon pressure to reach the lair. It is a tiny cat game with a very real siege problem.
