The “Pirate Gaster” clip is fan-made, not leaked footage from DELTARUNE Chapter 7. It imagines the mysterious W.D. Gaster as a pirate captain surrounded by other enigmatic characters. The fake-leak presentation is part of the punchline: instead of answering the game's mysteries, fans have handed the suspects a ship.

So what happens in the clip?

Kris, Susie and Noelle encounter a pirate crew assembled from figures that DELTARUNE players love to theorize about. Alongside Gaster are the Roaring Knight, Normal NPC, Friend and Aqua. The song “Pirate Dojo” from Chapter 5 provides dramatic backing. In some artwork, Normal NPC even becomes the parrot on Gaster's shoulder. That is a fan-art gag, not new official lore.

The choice of cast matters. These characters are usually treated as separate puzzle pieces. Put them on one boat, however, and the impossible crossover looks oddly organized. You no longer need a corkboard full of theories; you need a crew manifest.

Where did Pirate Gaster start?

Know Your Meme traces it to a run of X posts by artist drit__ in late June 2026. A post dated June 28 presented the encounter as if someone had uncovered a Chapter 7 boss introduction. Its air of authority was deliberately theatrical. After drit__ devised pirate lyrics for “Pirate Dojo,” a vocal cover from DrakeTheroux appeared around June 30–July 1. The music gave other creators an instantly recognizable soundtrack.

By July 2, the documented offshoots included an animation edit on TikTok by ge.adelade and a 3D fan animation on YouTube by Origami Yume Nikki. Those concrete examples show how a particular joke traveled across formats; they do not establish popularity in every country. Dates and historical engagement figures here follow Know Your Meme's documentation, as the original social posts were not independently retrievable for this article.

Why do people share it?

It works as an absurd answer to DELTARUNE lore speculation, as a joke “leak,” and as material for fan drawings and edits timed to the sea shanty. You can enjoy the captain-and-crew visual immediately, while longtime players get the extra joke of seeing their most baffling mysteries sorted into job roles.

People spent years asking who Gaster really is. The internet offered a surprisingly confident answer: he has a boat and several employees.
