Description: The 2014 Gamushara connection behind Shogo Tajima, Kaito Matsukura, Mizuki Inoue and Reia Nakamura on Japan’s Music Station on October 23, 2026.

Team Sha (チーム者) was a named team in TV Asahi’s 2014 Gamushara youth-entertainment project. Four artists associated with it appeared on the October 23, 2026, 40th-anniversary Music Station special, now representing INI, Travis Japan and KEY TO LIT. Longtime viewers saw a twelve-year before-and-after story, not the launch of a new group.

What happened on television?

The Japanese broadcast ran from 8:00 to 9:48 p.m. Shogo Tajima appeared with INI, Kaito Matsukura with Travis Japan, and Mizuki Inoue and Reia Nakamura with KEY TO LIT. ORICON NEWS reports that Tajima recalled performing together roughly twelve years earlier. A photograph showed the four at about ages 14–17, and he thanked host Tamori for the chance to share the program. The precise minute of the exchange and the complete footage have not been independently checked.

Was Team Sha originally a four-member unit?

No. TV Asahi’s surviving 2014 official roster lists five: Yuta Jinguji, Reia Nakamura, Kaito Matsukura, Shogo Tajima and Mizuki Inoue. The character 者, read sha in the team name, was one of several team labels, not an acronym from their names. The 2026 story concerns four of those five, not a complete five-person reunion with Jinguji. The historical roster also documents that event’s lineup, not necessarily every later performance.

Why did fans call it a time capsule?

To newcomers, three J-pop groups happened to be booked on one music show. To fans of Gamushara, teenagers who once shared a stage were now introduced under different professional group names. Showing their old photograph made twelve years visible at once. ORICON quoted individual X reactions comparing the moment to opening a time capsule. These are reported comments, not evidence of a global trend. KEY TO LIT was also scheduled for its debut song’s first television performance; fans celebrating the artists’ progress were not stating that everyone debuted on the same date.

Conclusion

Team Sha is the missing 2014 connection. Four performers arrived under three current group names; one photograph briefly returned them to a shared past. Twelve years supplied the emotional punch line.
