Description: The servers are gone, but old saves can still move. Check the deadline, paid Offline Key, excluded items, and PlayStation–Steam rules.
The announced deadline to transfer old LET IT DIE saves is November 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Japan time. Online service ended September 1, but migration remained available.
Why can progress survive shutdown?
LET IT DIE sends players scavenging up the Tower of Barbs under Uncle Death's guidance. After more than nine years online, GungHo converted it into a paid offline game. September 1 ended the online service; November 30 closes the announced transfer window. Continued availability of the game does not guarantee access to old saves afterward.
What carries over?
Returning players need the paid LET IT DIE: Offline Key; newcomers can buy a game-and-key bundle. The Japanese site lists ¥2,178 including tax, with regional prices varying. Eligible fighters and equipment progress can transfer, but Death Metals, paid Kill Coins, unfinished expeditions, online ranking points, and some pending rewards cannot. PS4-to-PS5 transfer works with the same PlayStation account; PlayStation-to-Steam cross-save does not.
Why are players worried?
In a September 15 Reddit thread, someone asked whether the formerly free game now required payment. Replies explained the one-time purchase and November deadline. These are specific comments, not a survey of the fanbase. The offline edition also removes equipment-development waiting times and replaces some old payment mechanics with in-game currency. An October 20 update added Steam Offline Mode support.
Bottom line: Check your original account, buy the correct key, complete the in-game transfer, and verify your fighters and gear. Purchasing the key alone is not proof of migration. The tower survived; your old climb has a November 30 moving deadline.
