Description: Yuta Okkotsu's line from Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 180 became a reaction meme in 2026. Learn what it means, why people add “Let's larp,” and how the image is used.

“Just This Once” is a reaction meme showing Yuta Okkotsu allowing himself one exception during a fight. Online, his serious face is borrowed for tiny favors or for sarcastically playing along with somebody's performance.

One exception in a serious battle

The scene appears in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 180, released on April 4, 2022. Yuta faces Ryu Ishigori and accepts a disadvantage in a clash of attacks to enjoy the contest. His injured face and raised finger turn that choice into a dramatic moment. When the same image is used to agree to one extra round of a video game, the stakes collapse but the expression stays heroic.

Why do some posts say “Let's larp”?

Edits of the scene circulated in March 2026. Reaction posts in late March and early April added “Let's larp, just this once.” LARP originally means live-action role-playing. In online slang, “larping” can mean pretending to have an identity or expertise. The combined caption suggests “Fine, I'll humor your act once.” “Let's larp” was added by internet users and is not manga dialogue.

When does the joke work?

An April post used the panel to joke about growing comfortable enough to open up to someone. In August, the catchphrase appeared in jokes about an imagined fandom truce involving the film Lesbian Space Princess. Those posts document the format, not an agreement between fandoms. You could also send the image when a friend asks you to pretend their burned dinner is delicious. That is an illustrative example, not a reported viral post.

Yuta agreed to one exception; the internet turned it into an exception card with unlimited uses. “Once” is doing some suspiciously heavy lifting.
