Description: IQmaxx Wojak Edits are a 2026 TikTok meme in which a hidden, withered “genius” has a soaring IQ and spinning apples but a terrible life. Here is the origin and the joke.

An IQmaxx Wojak edit starts with people going about ordinary life, each assigned an IQ. Then the camera zooms into a bizarre hiding place. A withered Wojak lies there, surrounded by rotating apples, while his IQ counter climbs forever. The smartest character has somehow ended up the least happy.

Where did the hidden genius come from?

Wojak is a simple drawn character used online to represent moods and stereotypes. These edits mock the fantasy that being intellectually superior makes everyday friendships, work or romance beneath you. The supposedly average characters are having fun; the “genius” is stuck in a hallway, basement or on the ocean floor.

Know Your Meme documents a September 28, 2026 TikTok classroom edit as one of the earliest known examples. It reached over 433,000 views in roughly a week. A basement variation appeared September 29, an underwater version October 1, and an underground Paris version October 2. The original inventor of the overall format is uncertain.

Why are apples spinning?

The apples reference online discussions about imagining an apple in your mind. The meme exaggerates that into a fake intelligence contest: picture more spinning apples, supposedly gain more IQ. It is not a real intelligence test.

The formula is easy to parody: show a happy crowd, then reveal the super-genius in an increasingly ridiculous location. An October 5 edit put him on a chandelier above a train. His IQ broke the ceiling; apparently so did he.
