Five dogs heard the same suspicious noise, but reacted like five different departments. Corey Moriarty used a fart-sound machine. At the end, golden retriever Bauer grabbed the device and tugged at his owner's underwear. The person running the prank suddenly looked like a suspect being escorted away.

What actually happened?

According to TAG24, this was an audio prank, not a real fart or a smell test. The publication described an Instagram video in an article checked on October 28, 2026. The scenes below come from that report; the full original video was not independently watched.

Five dogs, five answers

Maverick, a golden retriever, sniffed around the carpet as if searching for the source, then stared at Moriarty. The detective heard the noise but found no matching scent. An audio witness without physical evidence.

Blue, a husky, barked in apparent protest and left. Maverick conducted the investigation; Blue submitted a complaint and clocked out.

Titan, another husky, placed his front paws on Moriarty's shoulders. TAG24 interpreted the gesture as concern. He seemed more interested in checking on the human than locating the source.

Goose, a golden retriever, licked his owner's face. That is the reported action, not proof of what the dog thought. In our imaginary workplace, Goose runs emotional support.

Bauer, the final golden retriever, grabbed the sound machine and pulled at Moriarty's boxer shorts, dragging him by the waistband. Evidence seized; equipment operator escorted out.

Reported reactions versus original comedy

These are canine behaviors described by TAG24, not verified quotes from viewers. Instagram comments were not accessed directly, so the following sketch is clearly invented rather than attributed to internet users.

Household Noise Tribunal — fictional

Maverick: “The carpet has no evidence.”

Blue: “I'm filing a complaint and leaving.”

Titan: “Check the human's condition first.”

Goose: “I can offer emotional support.”

Bauer: “Device confiscated. Suspect detained.”

Judge: “Does the defendant object?”

Bauer: “Ask him after I return his underwear.”

The punchline

One artificial sound produced investigation, protest, concern, comfort and intervention. Bauer changed the power dynamic by removing the prop instead of playing along. The human controlled the play button, but the dog decided when the show ended.
