Description: Seven lifetime Suno downloads are not guaranteed to every new Free account. Compare signup dates, monthly Pro and Premier limits, resets, and commercial rights using Suno's own notices.

Answer (checked October 17, 2026): Free accounts created before September 3, 2026 qualify for up to seven lifetime trial song downloads. Accounts created on or after that date may receive occasional trial downloads, but Suno does not promise seven. Trial allowances never reset monthly.[1][2]

Your signup date matters more than the headline

Account File downloads Reset Important distinction
Free, joined before Sep 3 Up to 7 for the life of the account None Personal, noncommercial use
Free, joined Sep 3 or later Occasional trial allowance possible None Check what your account actually shows
Pro 20 songs each month Billing date Unused monthly allowance expires
Premier 60 songs each month Billing date Studio exports follow a separate exception

Downloading a song is not the same as generating it. Suno's Free plan replenishes 50 music-generation credits daily; those credits do not restore your file-download allowance. Pro provides 2,500 generation credits per month, and Premier 10,000. A user can keep making music while having no trial downloads left.[6][8]

Why do two official help pages disagree?

The trial-download help page, updated September 9, says each Free account has up to seven downloads. Yet Suno's August 10 policy announcement and its September 3 download-specific help page explicitly distinguish accounts created before and after September 3.[1][2][3]

For a new signup, the date-specific eligibility language is more precise than the general summary. A later editing date alone does not establish that the signup restriction was withdrawn. Suno does not publish a guaranteed seven-download entitlement for new accounts, nor a universal local-time reset for trial downloads. Check your account's actual allowance before planning an export.

What counts as one download?

Suno counts unique songs rather than clicks or formats. Downloading the same song again, or in another supported format, does not spend another slot. Stems belong to that song's download; failed downloads do not count. Songs made before September 3 are also subject to the current download rules when exported for the first time.[4][7]

Unused trial downloads remain available until used, without monthly top-ups. Pro and Premier allowances refill on the subscription billing date; unused monthly slots disappear. Separately purchased download packs roll over.[5]

Can I monetize a trial download?

Trial downloads are for personal, noncommercial use. Songs downloaded while a Pro or Premier subscription is active are covered by Suno's commercial-use grant, subject to its terms. Commercial permission is different from obtaining copyright protection under your country's law. Do not assume upgrading retroactively changes rights attached to an earlier Free-plan creation.[3][9]

Bottom line: Check your signup date, download balance and intended use. Daily creation credits and lifetime download slots are two different meters: making ten songs today does not mean you can export ten files today.
