Description: The Switch RPG closes on December 7, 2026. Here's what happens to your collected Denpa Men, why players want an offline edition, and what to save before the deadline.

The New Denpa Men is scheduled to stop working as a live game on December 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Japan time. Genius Sonority says in-game data, including Jewels and items, will become unusable. Its closure notice offers no offline continuation plan, so players hoping to keep their teams will need to watch for a separate announcement.

It's not just the store that's closing

Genius Sonority announced the shutdown on October 5. The free-to-start RPG arrived on Switch in July 2024; its Switch 2 version only launched in April 2026. That's an especially short farewell for anyone who met the series through the newer hardware.

Denpa Men aren't anonymous numbers on a menu. You collect them, build a party, and take that odd little group into battles. Once you've spent hours raising a character, a shutdown date feels personal. On Nintendo Life's October 5 report, players specifically wished for an offline release. One enjoyed the main story and still felt the adventure deserved a way to survive; others worried about all the time or money they'd invested. Those are individual comments, not a promise from the developer.

What happens to your progress and paid Jewels?

The official schedule is definite: sales of paid items stopped on October 5 at 11:00 a.m. JST, and service ends on December 7 at 11:00 a.m. JST. The notice says game data will no longer be usable afterward. An offline edition or a way to export a party isn't described in that announcement.

There is one practical detail worth handling early. Unused paid Jewels qualify for a refund, with the claim window and instructions to be published after shutdown. You'll need your Support ID. The title screen will still show it until March 31, 2027, but writing it down now makes sense. Genius Sonority also asks players not to delete or reinstall the game on another console until the refund process is complete.

That gives you a real choice about paid Jewels: spend them before closing, or leave unused paid currency for the announced refund process. It doesn't answer the different, more sentimental question of keeping your party playable.

One more trip with the team

You can still take your favorite Denpa Men into the game before December 7. A screenshot can preserve the look of your team, even though it won't restore playable progress later. For an offline comeback, the next meaningful signal would be an explicit statement from Genius Sonority. Until then, the deadline is real—and so is the reason fans want one more adventure.
