Description: Ideogram's free allowance is weekly for eligible accounts, but the amount is not a universal promise. Compare sign-in requirements, monthly paid credits, public images and top-ups using official information.

Short answer: Ideogram says eligible free accounts receive slow credits weekly when they sign in with Google, Apple or Microsoft. Its current pricing FAQ does not guarantee ten or thirty credits to everyone, nor does it publish a universal reset hour. These details were checked on October 17, 2026.

Why do guides quote different numbers?

Search results still claim ten credits per day, ten per week or thirty per week. The official wording is more specific about eligibility and less specific about quantity: the amount may vary. A historical guide can accurately describe an earlier offer and still be the wrong guide for a new account today. Check your own balance rather than building a production schedule around a third-party countdown.

Free generations are normally public, and free accounts have a one-generation running/queued limit in older plan comparisons. That matters if your prompt contains an unreleased logo or client brief. Privacy is a bigger upgrade reason than speed for many designers: paid Plus and Pro offer private generations.

Current subscription comparison

Plan Allowance When it renews
Eligible Free Variable weekly slow credits Weekly; no fixed public clock time
Plus 2,400 priority credits/month Each billing cycle; unlimited slow credits
Pro 7,500 priority credits/month Each billing cycle; batch generation
Team 3,600 priority credits/user/month Each billing cycle; at least two seats

US-dollar monthly prices are $20 for Plus, $60 for Pro and $30 per Team seat. Annual billing is advertised at an effective $15, $42 and $20 per month, respectively; the annual total is paid upfront. Taxes depend on checkout location.

What happens after the credits are spent?

Unused subscription priority credits expire when the billing cycle ends. Separately purchased top-up credits carry into the next period and are consumed after subscription credits. Paid users can continue in the slower queue after using their priority allowance, but AI editing and image-reference tools can require priority credits. Free eligibility is not the same entitlement as unlimited paid slow generation.

Which figures are old?

Ideogram's December 17, 2024 batch-generation announcement described an increase to 3,500 Pro credits per month. The live pricing page now shows 7,500. That establishes a historical-versus-current difference, not an exact effective date for the later increase. The site also does not establish a universal regional reset hour. For developers, the API has separate credit and payment requirements; creating a free web account does not provide unlimited free API calls.

Bottom line

Sign in through an eligible provider, inspect your account's available credits, and decide whether public output is acceptable. If you need private client work or predictable monthly priority capacity, compare Plus and Pro against the current checkout. A screenshot of an old credit counter is not a contract for today's account.
