The joke isn't that Ethan's Clubhouse looks like a blockbuster. It's that some fans are treating its homemade intro like the cultural event of the year.
The project surfaced on TikTok in September 2026. Its creator shared drawings for a show inspired by Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, featuring a delightfully unexpected guest list: characters from The Amazing Digital Circus, The Banana Splits and more. On September 16, a full opening sequence arrived, combining musical elements from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and The Banana Splits. The rough, personal artwork and absurdly catchy theme became the attraction.
Then the reaction memes turned the dial up. On October 4, an X post paired a yelling SpongeBob animation with the tune. On October 5, a TikTok edit imagined somebody abandoning the delivery room because a new Ethan's Clubhouse episode had supposedly dropped. That's the scenario in the joke, not a news report.
What's funny is the mismatch: a creator puts out an earnest DIY preview, and the internet responds as though tickets to the biggest premiere on earth just went on sale. Much of the attention also celebrates the project's unusual charm. The creator supplies the theme song; the audience supplies an entire stadium's worth of anticipation.
